12/16/2018 - NFL Week 15 - Sunday Night Showdown

PHI @ LAR - Over/Under 52

This game is tricky because face value might tell you it's two tough defenses.  You also look at the last showdown slate involving the Rams and the winning lineup had both defenses of that game. Not to mention the Eagles are starting Nick Foles and while he carried them to a super bowl victory, he will need to shake off the rust with a Philly offense that hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire.

Unless you are throwing in multiple lineups I'll stick to my guns like I did last week and fade Gurley, loading up on the Rams passing game. This is a way to differentiate yourself from the field and it would have worked last week if the rest of the offensive players didn't crap the bed as well. So let's get to our potential low owned plays.

TE Dallas Goedert ($2400 DK/  $8000 FD)
The Eagles rookie TE has been getting about 3-4 targets per game. My thought process here is that throughout the year the backup QB practices with the second and third string. While Goedert still sees snaps with the first string, he and Foles may have more rapport than one would think.

TE Tyler Higbee ($1400 DK/ $6000 FD)
The Rams have so many weapons that it's tough to imagine their scores coming from the TE position they barely throw to. All we need is a play action to Gurley and a TD throw to Higbee to put us in good position.  I'm not saying hit the lock button but if you don't want to split your winnings with 1,000 people this could be a way to differentiate.

So my initial build has me fading Gurley and loading up on the Rams passing attack, probably with a wide out in the captain spot and one or two more in the flex. Plug in Goedert and you have plenty of salary to fit in a couple more playmakers. Good luck tonight! #defensedoesntmatter #hopefully
