If you don't know where the quote in the title came from you haven't seen the best Christmas movie of all time. If you don't know what the word Heinicke means, well I don't really blame you. That's because Heinicke is the Panthers QB for their last two games. While there are some situations where the backup quarterback is the most popular guy in town because the fanbase is tired of seeing the same QB fail week in and week out, most people haven't even heard of Taylor Heinicke. Lucky for you I'm going to tell you a little about him and why you should consider him in a GPP lineup this weekend.
Heinicke is only $4000 on DK and $6000 on FD (The bare minimum for QBs on both sites). He is also at home going against a porous and beatable Atlanta defense. Do you need more convincing? Most likely. You know how you look at the Panthers' injury report each and every week and see Cam Newton - DNP, Cam Newton - Limited, Cam Newton - Questionable? That means that all those practice reps Cam isn't getting, Heinicke is getting. That's only practice right? Sure but practice does matter Allen Iverson.
Even though he played at Old Dominion, a college not known for football, or frankly any sport, he put up some decent stats in his 4 year college career. He had a completion percentage of 67%, threw for almost 15000 yards, 132 TD with only 39 interceptions. Not bad right? Well he also ran for 1300+ yards and 22 TD. Now I'm not saying that he is going to go out there and pull a Matt Flynn filling in for Aaron Rodgers and throw for 400+ yards. I will have my shares and while he's not a lock button he's worth a shot.
