CAR vs. NO (over/under - 50)
Well the fade Gurley didn't work last night but like I said you have to take a stand somewhere on these slates if you want to be different. So, moving on, road Drew Brees is a thing. Primetime Cam Newton is a thing. You can guess what I'm doing; fading Brees and most of the Saints passing game. I wouldn't even be opposed to loading up on Panthers and plugging in one Saint to finish out the lineup.
Carolina's defense hasn't been horrible and Bradberry has been fairing well against opposing WR. He gets a tough task with Michael Thomas and it's just about impossible to fit in Thomas, Cam, and McCaffrey without taking a couple longshots somewhere. I doubt Thomas gets shut down completely but I may consider fading him as well. That leaves us with our lower owned plays and then the build.
Dan Arnold ($600 DK/ $6500 FD):
Arnold really saves you some money especially on DK. While his targets are minimal, after Michael Thomas it's anyone's guess who Brees will throw to. Arnold has the athletic ability the Saints like and has put together a stretch with 20+ yards in 4 straight games.
Devin Funchess ($5800 DK/ $7500 FD):
There was a time earlier this year when Funchess was Cam's number one receiver. That since has changed with the emergence of DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel along with injuries to Funchess. We saw him get in the end zone two weeks ago, but he put up a donut last week. At his price on the single game slate he is worth the risk against a beatable saints D.
My initial build on DK has me loading up on four Panthers and filling in with cheap Saints. I'll start with Cam, McCaffrey, Funchess and go from there. Good luck tonight!
