    Week 3 seems like so far away now that we are in the first round of the playoffs.  A team’s identity hasn’t even been established at that point yet and is constantly developing as the season goes along.  When these teams met in week 3 their identities were very similar then as they are now.  Run first teams with solid defenses looking to control the time of possession.  Let’s take a look into the game stats and players that played a key role, then move on to some slate analysis.

        It's so tough to play a team for the third time in the same season.  It's good for us in DFS though because we get a good sense of how the game may go.  Of course the playoffs are a different animal but there is definitely something to be said when common themes arise after the first two matchups.  So first things first, let's look at some key stats from each game.

    As I write this while watching these 1pm EST games, I can’t wait to get to some exciting meaningful football as opposed to watching scrubs like Cameron Artis-Payne score multiple touchdowns.  There are a lot of 4:25pm EST games and then we get a win and your in prime time game between the Titans and the Colts. 12/30/2018 - NFL Week 17 - Prop Ponderings

     Last week we went 14-6 on our player prop bets. That brings our 3 week record to 33-27.  That's a profit if we were betting in Vegas so right where we want to be.  Keep in mind these numbers from FD sports book are not projections but a way to guide our thinking when building lineups.  Here's what we are thinking this week.

12/29/2018 - NFL Week 17 - #QBOnTheCheap

     This week's QB on the cheap is Nick Foles at 5900 on DraftKings and 7600 on Fanduel. Although I usually look a little cheaper when doing this I keep coming back to Nick. They are playing for a playoff spot and he’s coming off a huge game throwing for over 400 yards. I do believe that Nick is going to lead his team to the playoffs once again. He's facing a horrible Redskins team where just a few weeks ago Carson Wentz threw for 300 yards.  So go ahead and fire him up with one of his receivers and sit back and enjoy a great game from old Saint Nick.

     There is so much value out there this week that I could probably fill up a whole dart board with players to take a flyer on.  You have teams potentially resting their starters, teams that want to get a look at their young players, and teams dealing with loads of injuries.  With so much news and notes to look out for it's hard to choose just one. Make sure you're looking for updates on our previous article, so you don't get stuck plugging in a player that may have limited playing time.

12/28/2018 - NFL Week 17 - Dart Throw with Jmoney

WR Trequan Smith (3700 DK / 4500 FD)

     

     For this week's dart throw I will be going with Trequan Smith from the Saints. I know they don’t have much to play for so he should see increased playing time while they rest their stars. With Ted Ginn out this week and the Saints seemingly resting their studs, Smith said he will be the focal point of their offense. Smith has big play ability which is what you want in a dart throw. So at 3700 on DraftKings and 4600 on Fanduel, I’m going to plug him in and see what happens.

12/25/2018 - NBA Christmas Special

   

NBA Christmas Day 12/25/2018

     The NBA used to do a couple games on Christmas but now they have 5 games spread across the day with start times from 12PM EST to 10:30PM EST. With no late swap on FD I will not be playing there even though they drop the lowest score. DK and Yahoo have some large GPPs with late swap and Yahoo is continuing the trend with their guaranteed overlay.  With that said let's get to it.

12/24/2018 - NFL Week 16 - Christmas Eve Showdown

   

     So who's bringing the presents tonight? We get another Showdown slate that includes the woeful Denver Broncos. Even worse, they are going against the tanking Raiders.  Two bad teams but that doesn't mean there isn't money to win.

12/23/2018 - NFL Week 16 - Sunday Night Showdown

    This Sunday's main slate has been crazy high scoring! Let's hope the primetime game is just as much fun.  We will see the Chiefs go to Seattle and take on the Seahawks and the infamous 12th man.  I would think Pete Carroll's game plan would be similar to that of the Ravens when they played the Chiefs.
