Let's get right to our picks:
Pick of the Week
Reception Connection - CIN @ PIT
Pick 3 players that will combine for over 17.5 receptions
For our three picks we are going with Juju Smith-Schuster, Antonio Brown and C.J. Uzomaha at a goal of 17.5 receptions. Let's dive a little deeper into why we like this bet. First we will look at what these players did the last time the two teams faced off. If we look back at week 6 in Cincinnati Smith-Schuster had 7 receptions for 111 yards, Brown had 5 receptions for 105 yards and Uzomah brought in 6 receptions for 54 yards. That is a combined total of 18 receptions. Next we will look at what these three players did last week (week 16). In week 16 Smith-Schuster hauled in 11of 15 targets for 115 yards while Brown pulled in 14 of 19 targets for 185 yards. These two guys alone combined for 25 receptions in week 16! In addition to that Uzomah was able to secure 4 of 5 target for 49 yards. That's a week 16 total of 29 receptions for the trio. Not convinced yet? The Steelers are playing at home against a Cincinnati pass defense that ranks 30th in the league and lets up an average of 276 yards per game. This is a must win game for the Steelers so don't expect them to let up even if (when) they get ahead.
Recap:
Week 6 @CIN
Juju Smith-Schuster - 7 Receptions for 111 yards
Antonio Brown - 5 Receptions for 105 yards
C.J. Uzomah - 6 Receptions for 54 yards
Week 16
Juju Smith-Schuster @NO - 11 Receptions for 115 yards
Antonio Brown - 14 Receptions for 185 yards
C.J. Uzomah - 4 Receptions for 49 yards
Week 17 Bold Predictions
Juju Smith-Schuster - 10 Receptions for 126 yards
Antonio Brown - 7 Receptions for 98 yards
C.J. Uzomah - 4 Receptions for 36 yards
Total - 21 Receptions
You could also do the 3x or 5x bets since 21.5 and 24.5 receptions are not out of reach with this group of receivers. We will be playing it safe with what will hopefully be an easy double up.
While Antonio Brown is questionable, if something happens he does not play MKF will return your money.
"Risk it for the Biscuit" Bets
If you like a little more risk we love the 5 of 5 games that MKF offers. For this week we will focus on one game, Cleveland at Baltimore. Baltimore is in a must win situation to win the division and make the playoffs (considering Pittsburgh has what should be an easy matchup in Cincinnati), while Cleveland will be looking to play the role of spoiler and keep that from happening.
