12/11/2018 - NFL Week 14 - Week 14 in Review

#defenseDOESmatter ... Wow what boring showdown slates. Defenses were the play and I didn't see that coming in either game. All 4 QBs looked like they forgot how to play football. The Gurley fade was the right call
and you didn't have to have him to win but offense was so limited he was on the winning team anyway with only 8+ points on DK. If you play season long I hope you didn't lose your matchup on that garbage time Cousins to Cook TD Monday night.

The Sunday main slate was a different story with players putting up monster games left and right. Most of our plays of the week should have worked out for you. The chalky Jeff Wilson underperformed thanks to George Kittle's nearly record breaking performance (thanks coach for not getting him 5 yds to break the record, wow). Amari Cooper was low owned and broke the slate with a 50+ point performance (DK). To see brief analysis on each of our plays check the comments section of the "Plays of the week" article.

We went 1 for 2 on the dart throws with Jarvis Landry squashing our hopes for a big game from Antonio Callaway who finished with 1 reception for 0 yards.  The other dart throw was DaeSaen Hamilton who looked great even with a horrible QB. We predicted 17.1 and he came through with 17.7 DK points and found a spot on the winning Milly Maker lineup.

Zach Ertz was even worse than expected and Wentz came through towards the end of the game to salvage his day and put up a solid 19.82 DK points. Given that not many QBs finished above 20 points, Wentz could have been good value at his price as JMoney suggested.

Finally if I lived in New Jersey I would have thrown in those 20 prop bets on Fanduel Sportsbook. Half would have hit. Now if you used those prop bets to guide your lineup builds then even most of the players we didn't hit on (over/under), you still got touchdowns or solid games from said player.

- Ben Roethlieberger was injured for a quarter and still almost went over
- Mark Ingram scored 2 TDs
- Austin Ekeler, Sterling Shepherd and DaVante Adams all scored a TD despite going under yardage
- David Johnson somehow put up 14 DK points even though he went under on all 3 categories

Hope you enjoyed 14 as much as we did and look forward to a busy Week 15 with lots of content and NFL football on Saturday as well!!
