12/15/2018 - NFL Week 15 - Saturday Preview

Texans at Jets 4:30 PM EST
Browns at Broncos 8:20PM EST

We have NFL on Saturday! That means we get a two game slate and two showdown slates. Believe it or not you have to attack both in very similar ways for GPP. Play your studs and mix in some potential low owned plays that could put up some decent numbers.

4:30 HOU @ NYJ:  Crowell is now ruled out for this game which leads to more carries for Elijah McGuire.  If you are playing the showdown slates I wouldn't be against plugging him in at Captain/MVP, pairing up Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins, then looking at plays like Jordan Thomas for Houston or Chris Herndon for NYJ. If you want to be contrarian in the two game slate on FD/DK and Showdown on DK, look at the Jets Defense. Everyone is going to flock to Houston and rightfully so. Heck you could even play both defenses in the DK showdown. The Jets D will definitely be lower owned and Watson is prone to throwing interceptions.

8:20 CLE @ DEN:  I guess the NFL thinks we get these two games out of the way on Saturday and maybe people will actually watch them. Well NFL you are right because there is DFS and if there is money to win we will be playing/watching. If you are watching just out of fandom for any of these teams, I'm sorry. Let's get to it.

Again we are trying to create the unpopular build and differentiate from the field. For the two game slate I absolutely love the idea of rolling the dice with the Denver passing game. Everyone will be playing Phillip Lindsay, Courtland Sutton (if he plays) and Baker Mayfield. I on the other hand will be pairing up Case Keenum with Tim Patrick and last week's dart throw DaeSean Hamilton! You can run it back with Nick Chubb and the Jets D and fill in your studs (whoever is left) from there.

The showdown slate should be fun. This is going to sound repetitive but Tim Patrick and DaeSean  saw a combined 19 targets last week! Now it was San Fran who is more susceptible to the pass whereas Cleveland is the opposite, susceptible to the run. I'll play the contrarian angle and throw one of these receivers or Keenum in the Captain spot and most likely include the two left in the flex. You'll have to fade Chubb or Lindsay, so I'll probably fade Lindsay if I'm all in on Denver's passing game. Finally, don't forget about the kickers in Mile High stadium. Thinner air means longer FGs!
