Philadelphia @ New Orleans (-8) 51 O/U

This game has all the makings of a trap game for the Saints. They're coming off a bye, and resting their star players in week 17.  They have the easiest matchup of the weekend according to Vegas and are the Super Bowl favorites.  On the other side the Eagles have all of the momentum coming off a double doink win in Chicago with their unsung hero Nick Foles leading the charge.  If I were a betting man, wait I am. Well if I had the dough to lay down on this game, give me the Eagles to win outright at +320 on FD Sportsbook. Sports betting is coming soon everywhere and we can't wait to get into that analysis. Until then we are focusing on building our daily fantasy lineups, so here it goes.

Average Joe 4 game slate analysis

Well if you want a late night hammer, this is a great place for it with so many star players.  Even though I think Philly has a chance to win, that doesn't mean I'm going to avoid playing some Saints.  It's just a matter of how many you can fit in.  Michael Thomas is almost a lock for me, even though he will be very popular. I'm ok with fading Brees as they have so many options at the goal line including Alvin Kamara, Mark Ingram and gadget play specialist Taysom Hill.  If you want to get cute Tedd Ginn might get a few deep looks this game, as he was able to pull down 5 catches for 74 yards in his first game back from an injury in week 16.

Speaking of Week 16, that's when Nick Foles threw for 471 yards and 4 TD versus the Texans. He is the second least expensive QB on the slate at $5400 and only $200 more than Dak Prescott.  I think I'll avoid Ertz on this slate as I like Kelce and Ebron more. If I rolled with Foles I would pair him up with Alshon Jeffrey. You could even be real sneaky and go Foles and Sproles hoping for Sproles to break a screen pass for a TD.

Studs (high owned): Michael Thomas, Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara
Under the radar (medium owned): Nick Foles, Alshon Jeffrey, Zach Ertz
Value (low owned): Darren Sproles
Dart Throw (very low owned, high risk): Tedd Ginn

Average Joe single game slate analysis

Let's get right into our lineup build and look at the captain spot on DK.  I touted up Michael Thomas earlier and I'll be plugging him in here. This is going to eat a lot of salary but I think he can easily break the slate.  His expensive price makes it tough to fit in a lot of other studs, so let's see what we can do here.

I find it puzzling how Philly declared Josh Adams their every down back late in the season and now all of a sudden they have some infatuation with Wendell Smallwood And Darren Sproles.  Coach Doug Peterson said it was due to game flow but I don't buy that. Sproles had 13 carries, Smallwood had 8, and Adams had one. That means they still ran the ball 22 times. Anyway, I'd be ok with Smallwood or Sproles as the next piece but I'll lean Smallwood as he's cheaper ($3800 DK).

The rest of the build works out to be a little crazy but you have to get crazy with these single games.  Do this by loading up Brees, Kamara, and Ertz! Wow! That obviously doesn't leave us with much, so we would have to risk it to get the biscuit by going with Taysom Hill or Jordan Matthews.
