Los Angeles Chargers @ New England Patriots (-4) 47 O/U

The Patriots have actually looked human this year and somewhat beatable but only giving 4 points at home to the Chargers? The Chargers advanced cause they played a one dimensional team that couldn't adjust. That won't be the case when they play a Patriots team that flourishes in the playoffs, with a head coach that is the king of adjusting.
Average Joe 4 game slate analysis

Patriots and fantasy have historically been one of the toughest things to predict. We know they can always find a way to win but they mix in so many different pieces on offense that it's tough to pin down the playmakers.  I won't go out of way to include any Patriots but they all have a shot to put up points. What kind of analysis is that right?  Ok I'll give you one name. Mr. James White who has been a playoff beast the last two years. He's only  $4900 on DK and could easily get 15 points with DK being full PPR.  Other than him you could play Edelman, Brady, or Michel but there's other players at those positions I'd rather have on this short slate.

One of those other players I'll be looking at is Keenan Allen and only $6400 on DK.  That's insane value for a top WR that could get you 40+ points which would be a return of 6 points per $1000 whereas a high number would normally be 3-4 points per $1000.  You also have to think game script will call for a lot of passing and Allen to be heavily involved.

Studs (high owned): Melvin Gordon, Keenan Allen, Tom Brady
Under the radar (medium owned): Phillip Rivers, Julian Edelman
Value (low owned): James White
Dart Throw (very low owned, high risk): Mike Williams

Average Joe single game slate analysis

We all know by now that for these showdown slates you need that random low owned player and you need TDs. I'll stand by my "no QB in the captain spot" especially for this game where neither QB offers any rushing upside.  I'm inclined to stick with my guns and plug in James White as captain. If you're feeling even more frisky you could drop one more spot to an even cheaper Gronkowski. Let's roll with White though as I feel he has more upside.

I want some stock in the Chargers passing game because I do think they will be throwing a lot. That has me plugging in the FLEX spots Rivers, Mike Williams, and Keenan Allen. After that you're left with $6200 per player. That leaves you with a lot of possibilities depending on how risky you want to get. Edelman/Patterson or Gronkowski/Gostowski would be where I would look favoring the "ski"s a little more.
